Dress codes

The locals, especially the Malays and the Indians, are quite conservatively dressed from top to toe (bearing in mind religious and cultural sentiments). Young Chinese are seen in shorts, etc. Westerners are acceptable in shorts. T shirts but too much ‘flesh’ could be an issue.

To Bling or Not to Bling? Bling for sure - but be careful of the chain snatching, etc especially if out at night
