Insider Edge: Insider Escapes
What to do with 2 days to spare in Dhaka
What to do with a week or more to spare while in Bangladesh
Other than dolphin-watching arranged via The Guide Tours, take a boat trip to the mangrove forests of the Sundarbans, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Clients travel by, and live on the boat for several days, to tiger-spot. Ask if Adam Barlow is still around – a very ChI who was with a group catching tigers to put radio collars on them to monitor numbers and movement patterns.

Or visit the Jamuna Resort, www.jamunaresort.com about 80 km from Dhaka, which has its own train station, Ibrahimabad, located within its complext! Take in the breathtaking views of the Jamuna Bridge across the Brahmaputra river.
Alternatively, check in at the seaside at Cox’s Bazaar (known for having “the longest beach in the world”!), which got its name from the late Captain Cox (died 1798), and also known as Panowa, or yellow flower. Located on the Bay of Bengal in South East Bangladesh, which is arguably the best tourist spot in the country, though the locals are fairly conservative so be sensitive to local customs.

And check out The Guide Tours Ltd very comprehensive website - www.guidetours.com - for further inspiration.
